DRGW 3137
Title:  DRGW 3137
Description:  KANSAS CITY KS Jan 9 1985 -- Rio Grande GP40 3137 awaits a call to return to home rails in Colorado. Merger of the UP and MOP gave the Grande access to Kansas City over the MOP line from Pueblo. This line is now largely abandoned. This unit has a checkered past. According to drgw.net it was built as Penn Central 3125 in August 1968. It became Conrail 3125, then became DRGW 3177 on Nov 3, 1983, and finally became DRGW 3137 on Feb. 24, 1984. Web site utahrails.net indicates the 3137 was retired by SP along with nine other Grande GP40s prior to the merger.
