| NORMAN OK April 1981 -- This undated photo shows Santa Fe SD45 5573 on the headend of an eastbound (compass north) mixed freightapproaching the Acers (cq) Street crossing. Also in the lashup is another SD45 and two SD26s. EMD built the lead unit as ATSF SD45 1873 December 1966 It was renumbered ATSF 5573 in the 1969-70 general renumbering In August 1981 it was rebuilt as an SD45u at San Bernardino and became ATSF 5306. It was retired February 1993 and sold To Wisconsin Central Railway in March 1993 and became WC 6503. (Date based on slide mount, roster information from atsfrr.net) |
