UP 321
DALE WY Oct 19 1977 -- Union Pacific GP9 321 rolls off the Dale Creek Fill on the number two track on the way to Laramie. The train is coming off the alternate main line from Cheyenne. In 1901 this fill replaced the last of three bridges which spanned the creek on the old line to the north. The last bridge was dismantled and the site was abandoned. EMD built the 321 (b/n 23677) in (either July or September) 1957. It was retired in May 1979 and sold to Precision National Corp (Mount Vernon IL) on Oct 17 1979.
