| DALE WY Oct 19 1977 -- Union Pacific GP9 321, three Chicago and Northwestern units haul a mixed freight westbound on the number three track (the alternatemain line) and are about to go onto the number two track on their way to Laramie. The alternate main line was opened on May 12 1953. EMD built the 321 (b/n 23677) in (either July or September) 1957. It was retired in May 1979 and sold to Precision National Corp (Mount Vernon IL) on Oct 17 1979.
