| DALE WY Oct 19 1977 -- Union Pacific GP9 321 leads three Chicago and Northwestern units and a mixed freight westbound on the number three track from Cheyenne. The locomotives have just cleared the final cut on the alternate main line before joining track two. The alternate main line was opened on May 12 1953. EMD built the 321 (b/n 23677) in (either July or September) 1957. It was retired in May 1979 and sold to Precision National Corp (Mount Vernon IL) on Oct 17 1979.
