| FORT WORTH TX March 15 1981 -- Missouri Pacific SD40-2 3143 has the lead on a covered hopper train. All it#needs is a crew and it will be on its way. EMD built the 3143 (b/n 73748-5) in February 1974. Upon merger with the Union Pacific it became UP 4143 on March 7 1988 and was renumbered to UP 9894 on April 16 200.. It was retired on June 28 2001.
