ATSF 5341 derailed         
FARWELL TX July 7 1986 -- Santa Fe SD45u 5321 is on the ground and awaiting a work crew. In October-December 1966 EMD built the unit as ATSF 1844 (s/n 32520) and delivered it painted blue with yellow ends. In April-July 1970 it was renumbered to ATSF 554 and after Aug 26 1972 it gained yellow warbonnet paint. In January 1982 the San Bernardino CA shops rebuilt it to an SD45u and renumbered it to ATSF 5321. It was retired in February 1993 and sold to Wisconsin Central Railway in March 1993, repainted and renumbered WC 6593. It was reportedly sold to National Railway Equipment Co in October 2006.
