ATSF 3100         
MOORE OK September 3 1978 -- Santa Fe first in class GP20 3100, GP38 3543, GP20 3135 and U23B 6306 head south with train 365. EMD built the lead unit as ATSF 1100 (s/n 25573 and delivered it in blue with yellow ends and trim. It was numbered ATSF 3100 in the 1969-70 general renumbering. It was repainted blue with yellow warbonnet after mid-June 1972. In November 1980 the San Bernardino CA shops rebuilt it as a GP20u and renumbered it 3000. On September 22 1995 it was patched BNSF and renumbered 2002. After being retired it was sold to Pioneer Rail Equipment and became PREX 3000. It has since been renumbered PREX 2053 and Joe Hill photographed it on April 11 2012 in black with yellow trim.
