CRIP 1504
JACKS OK Aug 15 1983 -- Rock Island GP7 1504 rolls out of the sun past a dead signal on the north-south main south of Hennessey OK. The 1504 was built in May 1952 (s/n 16343) for Pittsburgh and Lake Erie as PLE 5716 and was renumbered PLE 1520. It was acquired by the Monongahela Railroad as MGA 1504. It was leased to the North Central Texas as NCTR 1504. After its return to the Monongahela it was leased to the Rock Island trustee as CRIP 1504 where it was used to clean up Rock Island property after the lines shutdown. It was wrecked and scrapped in late 1985. This unique paint scheme was said to be applied at the El Reno OK paint shop by the trustees crew.
