DALLAS TX May 27 1985 -- Katy GP40 175 awaits an assignment. EMD built the 175 (s/n 32127) in August 1966 and delivered it in red. After being wrecked it was retired on Feb 28 1989, sold to Morrison Knudsen on May 22 1990, and by Feb 9 1991 was rebuilt to Southern Pacific GP40-2 7298 in grey and red. After the UP merger it was patched and renumbered 1533. It was later painted UP yellow.
