Description:  HUNNEWELL KS Feb 18 1985 -- Santa Fe B23-7 6358 makes its way through the southern Kansas plains as it drops off cars at a grain elevator. Description:  BRAMAN OK Feb 18 1985 -- Santa Fe B23-7 6358 rolls west (compass south) on its way to Ponca City OK via Blackwell OK. It had dropped off empty grain cars at an elevator in Hunnewell KS. Title:  ATSF 6363
Description:  MOORE OK August 7 1978 -- It isn't a steam engine but it still portrays a classic smoking wedge. Santa Fe B23-7 6363 leads a light engine movement and the smoke show is mainly courtesy of the three General Electric products in the lead. General Electric built the 6363 (s/n 41686) in mid-1978 and delivered it in yellow warbonnet. On Sept 22 1995 it was transferred to BNSF. On Feb 23 2000 it was patched and renumbered BNSF 4220. It was up for auction to the highest bidder on July 19 2007. According to Fred Harrison on Loconotes it was on a train departing Galesburg IL on Oct 12 2007 headed for National Railway Equipment at Silvis IL. Description:  PURCELL OK Nov 21 1981 -- Santa Fe B23-7 6375 has a mixed freight with wide loads in tow. GE built the 6375 (s/n 42421)in June 1979 and delivered it in yellow warbonnet. After a time in failed SPSF merger colors it was rebuilt at the San Bernardino CA shops before December 1989, renumbered 7209 and painted yellow warbonnet. In September 1989 it was renumbered 6375. It was transferred to BNSF on Sept 22 1995, patched and renumbered 4232. It was listed for sale by auction in October 2008. It wassold to National Railway Equipment Co on Oct 12 2011. Description:  THACKERVILLE OK June 25 1979 -- A very new Santa Fe B23-7 6377 is at the lead of a hopper train. GE built the unit in June 1979. It became ATSF 7211 in late 1988 to early 1989 when it was rebuilt at the San Bernardino shops but regained its ATSF 6377 number in September 1989. Title:  ATSF 6389
Description:  WILSEY TX May 24 1980 -- Santa Fe B23-7 6389 handles a cut of cars over freshly ballasted track. GE built the 6389 (s/n 42435) in June 1979. On Jan 23 1989 it was rebuilt to 3000 HP at the San Bernardino shops in California and renumbered to 7214 but was later rebuilt back to 2300 HP and renumbered back to 6389. Upon creation of the BNSF it was patched and renumbered to BNSF 4246 on Feb 4 2000. It was sold to National Railway Equipment Co on Oct 12 2011.
