Description:  PURCELL OK Feb 15 1981 -- Santa Fe U33C 8502 holds the main on its way south with a covered hopper train. GE built the 8502 in June 1969 and delivered it in blue with yellow ends. It was painted yellow war bonnet after mid-June 1972, retired in December 1984, returned to lessor and sold to Precision National Corp in early 1985. Description:  GUTHRIE OK Sept 1977 -- Shadows are getting long as Santa Fe U33C 8524 crosses the Cimarron River on its southbound journey through Oklahoma. Lease power was prevalent at this time on the Santa Fe. CN and C&NW units were seen frequently.
