SAGINAW TX February 1986 -- Burlington Northern GP40-2s 3049 and 3047 handle a mixed freight. Both are former St.Louis San Francisco locomotives. EMD built the 3049 as SLSF 759 (b/n 786186-10) in May 1979. The 3047 was built as SLSF 757 (b/n 786186-8) also in May 1979. Both were retired in September 1997. They were acquired by Kansas City Southern as KCS 4809 and KCS 4807 respectively.
