BN 2048
Title:  BN 2048
Description:  DENVER CO Oct 3 1983 -- Burlington Northern GP20 2048 sits at the engine facility. EMD built the unit in January-February 1961 for the Burlington as CB&Q 912 (s/n 26583). It became BN 2048 in 197, BNSF 2052 in August 1998 was retired in November 1999 and acquired by Keokuk Junction Railway as KJRY 2052. ATSF 3100
Title:  ATSF 3100
Description:  MOORE OK September 3 1978 -- Santa Fe first in class GP20 3100, GP38 3543, GP20 3135 and U23B 6306 head south with train 365. EMD built the lead unit as ATSF 1100 (s/n 25573 and delivered it in blue with yellow ends and trim. It was numbered ATSF 3100 in the 1969-70 general renumbering. It was repainted blue with yellow warbonnet after mid-June 1972. In November 1980 the San Bernardino CA shops rebuilt it as a GP20u and renumbered it 3000. On September 22 1995 it was patched BNSF and renumbered 2002. After being retired it was sold to Pioneer Rail Equipment and became PREX 3000. It has since been renumbered PREX 2053 and Joe Hill photographed it on April 11 2012 in black with yellow trim. ATSF 3119
Title:  ATSF 3119
Description:  NORMAN OK August 1977 -- Santa Fe GP20 3119, U23B 6330 and GP38 3500 depart Norman with a mixed train. The train is eastbound (compass north) as it parallells U.S. 77 out of town. EMD built the 3119 as ATSF 1119 in July 1960. It became 3119 in the 1969-70 renumbering. In July 1979 it was rebuilt to a GP20u and renumbered 3019. It gained SPSF paint and was retired in that scheme. It went to TPW in February 1989. It was repainted and renumbered to TPW 2050 in August. 1007. ATSF 3154
Title:  ATSF 3154
Description:  PURCELL OK April 29 1979 -- Santa Fe GP20 3154 awaits a crew to continue its journey south with a mixed freight in tow. EMD built the 3140 as ATSF 1154 (s/n 26860) in November 1961 and delivered it it blue with yellow ends. In the 1969-70 general renumbering it became 3154 and was repainted yellow warbonnet after mid-June 1972. The San Bernardino CA shops rebuilt it as a GP20u and renumbered 3054 in April 1981. Title:  ATSF 3157
Description:  PURCELL OK Sept 1977 -- A Santa Fe GP20 and two lease units pass the abandoned engine facility at the south end of Purcell. Still standing is the sand tower. Not visible are the water tank, roundhouse and turtable. A friend of mine put his car on the turtable and turned it by hand. The last thing to be turned on the Purcell turntable was an Oldsmobile Cutlass.
